Box Score The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team lost its home opener 87-37 to No. 11 Hope College on Wednesday.
Kalamazoo trailed just 5-4 three minutes into the contest, but Hope used a 16-0 run to take a 21-4 lead. Hope led the rest of the half, 29-18, to take a 50-22 lead into halftime.
The Flying Dutch shot 41.3 percent overall while holding Kalamazoo to 25.6 percent. Hope held a 58-28 advantage in rebounds, including 25-4 on the offensive end.
Nicole Antoine led Kalamazoo with nine points, three rebounds, and two steals.
Emily Lindsay scored eight points with three rebounds. India Hoskins added seven points.
Querubin Dubois scored five points with three rebounds in 15 minutes off the bench. Anne Colonius grabbed a team-high five rebounds with four points.
Kalamazoo hits the road for an MIAA contest at Alma on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 3 p.m.
