The Kalamazoo College volleyball team defeated Saint Mary's 3-1 in front of an energetic crowd in Anderson Athletic Center on Friday.

Kalamazoo won the first two sets, 25-19 and 25-13, but the Belles fought back to win the third set 25-20. The Hornets won the fourth set 25-23 to win the match.

Kalamazoo had an attack percentage of .170 in the match while Saint Mary's hit just .030. The Hornets had 12 team blocks as well compared to just seven for Saint Mary's.

Nya Greenstone led Kalamazoo with 14 kills and 15 digs.

Quinn McCormick and Olivia Cares each had eight kills.

Kelsey Hill and Alex Gothard each had six kills. Hill was in on seven blocks while Gothard had 33 assists and eight digs.

Allison Liddane had a team-high 27 digs.

Kalamazoo returns to action on Saturday with a home match against Albion at 11 a.m.
