Kalamazoo College

DJ Ferguson joined the Kalamazoo College men’s basketball staff as an assistant coach in 2025. A Kalamazoo College graduate, Ferguson earned his degree in business while competing for the Hornets from 2023–2025. During his playing career, he was named the program’s Most Improved Player and recognized as SAAC Men's Hornet of the Week.

Before Kalamazoo, Ferguson played two seasons at Heidelberg University and was part of the 2022 NCAA Division III Tournament team. At Lansing Catholic High School, he was a two-time CAAC All-Conference selection, Lansing State Journal Dream Team honoree, and earned All-State honors in 2021. After college, Ferguson earned a tryout with the Grand Rapids Gold, the NBA G League affiliate of the Denver Nuggets.

Ferguson brings valuable player development experience as the founder of In the Factory Basketball Skills Training LLC and has coached at Tom Izzo’s Michigan State Basketball Camp and the Andre Hudson Basketball Camp.

A Lansing, Michigan native, Ferguson is passionate about teaching the game and helping athletes grow both on and off the court.
