Collin Murphy joined Kalamazoo College as the assistant sports information director in September 2025. Murphy graduated from Western Michigan University in 2022 with a degree in digital media and journalism. While at WMU, Murphy worked as the sports editor of the Western Herald for two years.
Prior to joining the Hornets, Murphy spent two seasons (2022-23, 2024-25) working for the Kalamazoo Wings Hockey Club in public relations, helping the K-Wings earn the ECHL PR Team of the Year in the 2024-25 season. He also spent one year (2023-24) as a graduate assistant for athletic communications at Lewis University, managing statistics, the athletics website and social media for the Flyers' 20 athletic programs.
