Volleyball Wins in Five at North Park

CHICAGO, Ill. - The Kalamazoo College volleyball team played two matches at North Park University Friday evening.

Kalamazoo vs. Dubuque

Kalamazoo won the first set 25-23, but dropped the next three 25-12, 25-9, 25-19 to the Spartans (15-7).

Madi Goodman led Kalamazoo with 10 kills. Rachel Girard added nine kills with six digs.

Zoey Ammon recorded 30 assists with seven digs while Maddie Wojcik led the team with 11 digs.

Kalamazoo vs. North Park

After losing the first two sets to North Park (25-27, 13-25), Kalamazoo rallied to win the final three sets to claim the win (25-22, 27-25, 15-12) over the host Vikings (14-9).

North Park won this season's first matchup in three sets on the first day of the season at University of Chicago.

Madi Goodman led the Hornets with 15 kills and a .448 attack percentage in tonight's win. Rachel Girard added 14 kills while Shelby Suseland finished with 10.

Zoey Ammon had 40 assists while Maddie Wojcik had 20 digs. Sophie Woodhams added 13 digs while Kelly Nickelson had 11.

Kalamazoo is scheduled to play a pair of matches Saturday at Illinois Tech scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. CT.
