Volleyball comes up just short in five-setter at Adrian

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College volleyball team came up just short in a five-set match at Adrian on Friday.

After dropping the first set 25-13, Kalamazoo responded with a 25-18 win in the second.

Adrian won the third, 25-12, before Kalamazoo rallied for a 29-27 win to force a fifth set. Adrian took an early lead before clinching the match with a 15-8 win.

Sidney Wall led the Hornets with 11 kills and 11 blocks. Shamari Browning added 10 kills.

Maria Katrantzi recorded seven kills with 13 digs. Kaela Ban Til had six kills with 12 digs.

Paige Johnson recorded 33 assists with 21 digs while Dana DeVito led the team with 26 digs.

Kalamazoo returns home to face top-ranked Calvin on Saturday at 1 p.m.
