Women's Tennis Seniors Honor Most Valuable Professors

Kalamazoo College logo with Most Valuable Professors text.

The two seniors on the Kalamazoo College women's tennis team have selected their Most Valuable Professors to recognize this season.

The Hornets selected Professor David Rhoa and Dr. Jennifer Furchak.

Senior Bella Russo selected Professor David Rhoa from the business department because he was the most dedicated professor she encountered in her four years. She appreciates his ability to challenge students beyond their self-perceived capabilities as well as his skill in creating an engaging and competitive classroom environment. Bella is grateful to have learned the lessons she did from Professor Rhoa and plans to carry them with her into the business world after K.

Dr. Jennifer Furchak of the chemistry department was selected by senior Laura Hanselman. Laura is thankful for Dr. Furchak's constant support in class and in life. She appreciates her willingness in aiding learning but also putting emphasis on understanding and application, rather than grades and results. Dr. Furchak helped shape Laura's view of chemistry and has made her experience with chemistry enjoyable.

All Kalamazoo College senior athletes have the opportunity to recognize their Most Valuable Professors throughout the 2019-2020 season.
