KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Madeline Woods was named MIAA Diver of the Week after her standout performance over the weekend in the first meet of the year.

Kalamazoo took on NCAA DII Saginaw Valley State on Saturday and Woods, a senior from Ann Arbor, had a strong showing in both diving events. She took first place on the three meter board with a score of 228.90 and second on the one meter with a final score of 210.00.

Woods enters her senior year with a lengthy list of accomplishments to her name. This week's honor is her third MIAA Diver of the Week Award in her career. She has been named All-MIAA in each of her seasons at K and was an honorable mention All-American on the three meter board in her sophomore season when she competed at the NCAA DIII Championships. Woods placed second in both diving events at the MIAA Championships last season and has placed second on the three meter board in each of the two previous seasons as well.

K will return to the pool for the MIAA Relays at Calvin on October 27th at 6 p.m.
