The 1998 Kalamazoo College women's soccer team tied a school record with its 18th win of the season on Oct. 29, defeating Hope 2-0 at home in the MIAA Tournament.
The win was the 10th consecutive for the Hornets who outscored their opponents 87-5 during that span.
Kalamazoo finished the season 18-3 overall after winning the MIAA championship with an 8-0 league record.
Erin Killian led the Hornets with 32 goals and 20 assists for 84 points on the season. Megan Faurot scored 29 goals with six assists. Sandi Poniatowski scored 20 goals with 22 assists. Susie Anderson scored 16 goals with a team-high 23 assists.
The Hornets shutout their opponents 10 times on the season, led by Beth Reuter with six.
