Women's Soccer Falls at No. 20 Chicago

CHICAGO, Ill. - The Kalamazoo College women's soccer team lost 3-1 at No. 20 University of Chicago on Saturday.

The host Maroons got on the board with a header in the 29th minute and carried that 1-0 lead into halftime.

Chicago made it 2-0 with a goal in the 77th minute. Kalamazoo made it 2-1 with a goal by Kai Ketola two minutes later, assisted by Josie Sibley.

Chicago scored its third goal in the 89th minute putting the game out of reach.

Chicago outshot Kalamazoo 20-7 overall, including 11-5 on goal. 

Hannah Wolfe made eight saves in goal for the Hornets.

Kalamazoo opens MIAA play next Saturday, Sept. 28 at Hope College.
