KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's soccer team lost 1-0 to Carthage College at home Saturday evening.
After a scoreless first half, the visiting Lady Reds scored in the 54th minute. Kalamazoo had two excellent chances five minutes later on a penalty kick and shot off the rebound, but both shots were unsuccessful.
The game was delayed an hour due to lightning with just under 17 minutes left on the clock.
Carthage finished with a14-7 advantage in shots, including 8-4 on goal.
The Hornets are back in action at home on Tuesday, Sept. 4 at 5 p.m. against Chicago.
