Madar, a junior from DeWitt, Mich. (DeWitt), started the week in Saturday's 17-7 win over Augustana by tying her own school record with nine goals. She did so on just 14 shot attempts. Madar also won six draw controls to lead the Hornets to victory.
On Sunday, the midfielder followed her record-tying performance with six more goals in a 20-0 shutout of Elmhurst. Madar added an assist and won 18 draw controls during the game.
Madar now has an MIAA-best 22 goals through just four games this season while adding three assists. She also has won 41 draw controls which are nearly 30 more than the next highest in the league.
Madar and the Hornets look to improve on their 3-1 start to the season on Saturday, March 7 at Mount Union. The game is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
