FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse team won 17-6 at Indiana Tech University on Saturday.
Kalamazoo scored the first three goals of the game and led by as many as five (6-1) before taking a 7-4 lead into halftime.
Each team scored in the first five minutes of the second half making it 8-5 before Kalamazoo went on an 8-0 run making it 16-5 with eight minutes remaining. Each team scored once more leading to the 17-6 final.
Kalamazoo outshot the Warriors 31-15. The Hornets also collected 30 ground balls compared to 18 for Indiana Tech.
Rachel Madar led the Hornets with six goals and one assist.
Gwen Davis made six saves in goal.
Kalamazoo is back in action Saturday, Feb. 29 at Augustana.
