KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse team defeated Adrian 13-12 in overtime on Senior Day Saturday afternoon.
Kalamazoo began the game by scoring the first two goals of the contest. Adrian answered with three goals of its own before the teams traded goals to end the half at a 6-6 tie.
The second half was a game of runs as the Hornets got out to a 10-6 lead before allowing five straight from Adrian to go down 11-10. Kalamazoo scored two to take the lead with seven minutes left before allowing the tying goal with just over five minutes to play.
Senior Amanda Moss scored the game winning goal in overtime to secure the 13-12 win for the Hornets.
Rachel Madar led the Hornets with eight goals and 11 draw controls.
Moss added four goals and one assist.
Goalie Gwen Davis made 12 saves for the Hornets.
