GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team fell Saturday at Calvin by a final score of 75-61.
The Hornets and Knights played a closely contested first half to the tune of a 35-33 Calvin lead at the break.
Kalamazoo came out of half time and out-scored Calvin 21-18 in the third quarter to give it a one point lead heading into the final quarter.
Calvin's defense proved to be too much for the Hornets in the final 10 minutes as it outscored Kalamazoo 22-8.
The teams changed leads seven times throughout the game and saw the score tied eight times.
The Hornets finished the game shooting 22 for 65 (33.8 percent) from the field and 10 for 27 (37 percent) from three-point range.
Senior Amanda Moss led Kalamazoo with 21 points and six steals.
Kalamazoo will head to Albion on Wednesday, Feb. 13 for a 7:30 p.m. tipoff.
