KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association announced Wednesday afternoon that Andrea MacMichael of the Kalamazoo College softball team is an All-MIAA Second Team honoree.

MacMichael, a senior from Southfield, Mich., finished her career with multiple school-records following a stellar senior season. MacMichael is now Kalamazoo's career leader in runs (94), hits (125), doubles (27), triples (9), games played (135), and at-bats (426).

During the 2019 season, MacMichael hit .355 on 43 hits including nine doubles, four triples, and her first career home run. Her 17 stolen bases led the MIAA while her 33 runs scored placed her sixth in the conference.

The senior recorded three or more hits eight times this season. In her final game, MacMichael went 3-for-6 with one double and two stolen bases.

This is the first time MacMichael has been named to an All-MIAA team in her career and the first for the Hornets since Erin DuRoss was a Second Team member in 2017.
