The 2019-20 Kalamazoo College men's soccer team was recognized by the United Soccer Coaches on Thursday as one of 333 collegiate men's teams to earn the Team Academic Award. It is the fifth time since 2010 that the Hornets have earned this award. The Hornet women's team also earned the award this year making Kalamazoo College one of 172 colleges or universities to earn both awards.

The award is given to soccer teams who posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2019-20 academic year.

Kalamazoo carried a 3.39 GPA collectively throughout the school year.

The team's GPA also earned an MIAA Team GPA Award last year by achieving a 3.30 or better GPA. Kalamazoo had 15 individuals named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll from the 2019-20 season.

The 2019-20 Kalamazoo College men's soccer team finished 11-5-2 overall while finishing third in the MIAA with a 4-2-1 league record. The Hornets lost in the MIAA Tournament semifinals before earning an at-large bid to the NCAA III Tournament for the first time since 2001.
