KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team earned its fourth win of the season on Wednesday evening as it shut out Elmhurst to collect a 1-0 victory.

After a scoreless first half, Ben Meschke found the back of the net in the 67th minute to put the Hornets on top for good. Gold Afolabi assisted on the play.

The goal was Meschke's sixth of the season as the junior forward has now scored in each game.

Kalamazoo outshot Elmhurst 11-9 on the night as each team tallied four shots on goal.

Luke Kastran saved each of the four shots on target as the sophomore improved his MIAA-leading goals-against average so far this season.

Kalamazoo is scheduled to host North Park on Saturday, Sept. 21 in a match that will begin at 5 p.m.
