Men's Soccer defeated by Adrian in overtime

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team was defeated in overtime 2-1 by Adrian College on Saturday night.

In a physical game that featured 31 total fouls, K struck first as Nick Kraeuter scored his second goal of the year in the 43rd minute. Adrian leveled the game just before half when Brad Squires finished a loose ball in the box. The 1-1 tie held through the second half and the first five minutes of overtime before Justin Tobin headed home a corner from Garrett Miller to end the game.

Ryan Melgar and Jacob Lopez Pink led K with two shots on goal each and Griffin Hamel made three saves in goal in the loss.

The Hornets will return to MacKenzie Field on Tuesday to take on Alma at 7 p.m.
