KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Following a record-breaking season on the field for Kalamazoo College freshman Dylan McGorisk, the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association announced Tuesday that McGorisk would be honored as a Second Team All-MIAA member.
An attacker from Wixom, Mich. (Walled Lake Western HS), McGorisk paced the Hornets with 55 points this season on 40 goals and 15 assists. The freshman scored in every game for Kalamazoo this season including a school record eight goals on April 23 at Adrian.
McGorisk finished fourth in the MIAA in goals scored this season while also placing seventh in points. His points and goals marks both break school records while his 15 assists place him one behind teammate Brett Fitzgerald's mark in 2017.
This is the first time the Kalamazoo men's lacrosse team has had a first-year player named All-MIAA.
McGorisk and the Hornets won a school-record five games this season en route to a 5-8 overall record.
