Men's Golf Fourth at Lou Collins Classic

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's golf team finished fourth at the Lou Collins Memorial Classic hosted by Olivet at Bedford Valley Friday and Saturday.

Kalamazoo shot 297 on Friday and followed up with a 301 on Saturday for a total of 598. The Hornets were tied with Hope for second after Friday's round, but ended up five strokes behind the Flying Dutchmen for third place. Allegheny won the 13-team event with a total of 589, just nine strokes ahead of Kalamazoo. Trine was second at 590.

Parker Pickell was named to the All-Tournament Team after finishing fifth overall with a two-day total of 145 (71-74), one over par. 

Jackson Jones was two over at 146 (73-73). Zach Colburn finished at 155 (80-75) while Alec Rosenbaum came in at 157 (78-79).

Kalamazoo is back in action Sept. 6-7 at the Battle at the Brook hosted by Ohio Wesleyan.
