AUGUSTA, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's golf team finished third at the Shootout at Stonehedge Friday and Saturday finishing with 615 strokes (310-305), eight out of second place.
Kalamazoo was third out of eight teams following Friday's round of 311.
Parker Pickell tied for fifth overall with a 75 to lead the Hornets.
Jackson Jones shot 74 Saturday and tied for eighth overall with a total of 15.1
Parker Pickell shot 79 and was 10th overall at 153.
Travis Veenhuis shot 73 for Kalamazoo on Saturday and tied for 12th at 155.
Nick Ludka came in at 79 and tied for 15th at 156.
Matthew Holmes-Hackerd (80-81--161) and Zach Colburn (84-87--171) competed as individuals.
Kalamazoo is scheduled to be back in action Tuesday, April 16 at Calvin.
