The 2017-18 Kalamazoo College men's golf team earned the GCAA (Golf Coaches Association of America) 18Birdies Team Academic Award again this season.
By maintaining a team GPA of 3.0 or higher, Kalamazoo was one of 34 schools in Division III to earn the Team Academic Award. With a team GPA of 3.58, Kalamazoo was one of just eight teams in Division III to earn President's Special Recognition with a team GPA above 3.5. The Hornets are just one of 41 teams in all NCAA divisions to achieve that status.
Kalamazoo finished fourth in the MIAA with a league average of 306.6 per round. The Hornets averaged 304.0 in all matches while shooting a school record 283 at Hulman Links this spring.
The fall 2018 season is scheduled to begin August 31 at Olivet's Lou Collins Memorial Tournament at Bedford Valley.
