Reiter Named ALC Hornet of the Week

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Ben Reiter of the Kalamazoo College men's basketball team has been chosen as the Hornet of the Week by the Kalamazoo College Athletic Leadership Council.

Reiter, a junior from Rochester, Mich., has been a consistent force for the Hornets this season. His 12.7 points per game lead the team and he has connected on more three-pointers than any other Hornet. 

In Saturday's game at Hope, Reiter poured on 23 points in 22 minutes while shooting nine for 13 from the field and connecting on two of four attempted from behind the arc. 

In the second half against the Dutch, Reiter scored 16 of Kalamazoo's 28 points. His six of seven shooting in the half accounted for all but three makes for the Hornets. 

The Hornets continue MIAA play on Wednesday, Jan. 9 when they host Olivet. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
