KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Jared Pittman of the Kalamazoo College football team was named Hornet of the Week by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee on Tuesday.
Jared tallied 182 yards rushing on 21 carries in Kalamazoo's 44-0 win over Finlandia on Saturday afternoon. He also found the end zone twice in the game.
His 182 yards on the ground are the third-most in school history and the most since 1951. The team rushed for 353 total yards in the game which are the most since 1917.
Pittman and the Hornets are back in action on Saturday, Oct. 19 when they host Albion for a 2 p.m. kickoff on Homecoming.
