Andrew Stone joined the Kalamazoo College baseball coaching staff in June of 2019. He will serve as the recruiting coordinator as well as assisting with the offense and infielders.
Stone played five seasons under Billy Gernon at Western Michigan University. A three-year starter appearing in 155 games, Stone hit .304 during his career with a .402 on-base percentage. Stone was a three-time Academic All-MAC selection and MAC Distinguished Scholar Athlete. He was named MAC Co-Player of the Week on April 30, 2018. Stone helped the Broncos win the 2016 MAC Tournament championship and advanced to the NCAA Regionals for the first time since 1989.
Stone played summer ball in the Michigan Summer Collegiate Baseball League (Holland Millers), Midwest Collegiate League (Joliet Admirals), and the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League (Grand River Loggers).
Andrew earned a bachelor's degree in sports management at WMU in May of 2018 and a master's degree in sports management in 2019. During the summer of 2018 he interned for the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association in Colorado Springs, Colo., assisting with projects like the Heart & Hustle Award, Legends for Youth Clinics, and stadium memorabilia auctions.
