Kalamazoo College's Chase Coselman was selected to the 2020 CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) Academic All-District 6 Team today.
Due to the shortened 2020 spring season, this year's program is based primarily on career statistics.
A junior infielder from Fenton, Mich., Coselman carries a 3.60 GPA as a business major.
Coselman is a .359 career hitter with a .495 slugging percentage. He has 22 career doubles, four career triples, and three career home runs while also stealing 14 bases in 17 attempts.
Coselman led the 2019 team in hits, batting average, runs, doubles, and home runs. He was second on the team in RBIs, triples, stolen bases, and walks. As a freshman in 2018, Coselman was second on the team in hits and doubles while tying for the team lead in batting average. He was third on the team in runs and RBIs.
In helping the Hornets win five of their seven games this spring, Coselman was hitting .308 with eight hits in 26 at-bats with two doubles, one triple, and five RBIs.
CoSIDA District 6 of NCAA Division III includes colleges and universities in Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. As an Academic All-District selection, Coselman advances to the national ballot for Academic All-American consideration.
