Baseball plays non-conference games at Ohio Northern

ADA, Ohio - The Kalamazoo College baseball team lost both games of a non-conference doubleheader at Ohio Northern University on Tuesday.

Game One

After a slow start for both teams Ohio Northern scored a run in the third inning, three in the sixth and two in the eighth en route to the 6-0 win. The host Polar Bears had 10 hits in the game while limiting Kalamazoo to four.

Ian Kobernick, David Kracht, Mitchell VanKoevering and Brett Garwood each had a a single in the game. Kracht also stole a base.

Game Two

Ohio Northern scored eight runs in the first two innings on its way to an 18-4 win in game two. Kalamazoo scored a run in the third and seventh and two runs in the eighth.

Kalamazoo had five hits in the game. Jack Clark and Stefan Leclerc each had a double. Drew Novetsky, Ryan Orr and Jack Dynes each had a single.

Kalamazoo returns to conference play this Saturday, April 30 at Alma.
