HOLLAND, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team was defeated 7-0 at No. 43 Hope College on Tuesday. The Hornets entered the match ranked No. 50 in the nation.

Hope improved to 12-6 overall and 4-0 MIAA, while Kalamazoo dropped to 9-6 overall and 4-1 in the MIAA.

Hope swept the three doubles matches to win the doubles point before winning all six singles matches.

Two doubles was tied 5-5 before the Hornets were forced to retire.

Eleni Bougioukou (3 singles) and Ivy Walker (4 singles) both took their matches to three sets.

Kalamazoo returns home to face No. 65 Calvin on Saturday, April 12, at 11 a.m.
