Mallory Gentry was selected as the SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) Women's Hornet of the Week on Tuesday.

A sophomore from Pendleton, Ind. (Pendleton Heights), Gentry won the 100-yard freestyle, with a time of 58.04, and the 200-yard freestyle, with a time of 2:06.59, in the season's first meet at Albion, helping the Hornets to a 121-112 victory.

Last season, Gentry earned MIAA Academic Honor Roll honors as a freshman and earned top-10 finishes in the 100-yard and 200-yard freestyles at the MIAA Championships.

Kalamazoo swimming and diving is in action Saturday (Oct. 25) at the MIAA Fall Invite in Holland, MI.
