BATTLE CREEK, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's golf team opened the 2024-25 season with a fifth-place finish at the Lou Collins Memorial Tournament hosted by Olivet at Bedford Valley.

Kalamazoo shot 310 on Friday, good for fourth place out of 10 teams. The Hornets shot 313 on Saturday for a two-day total of 623, dropping to fifth place overall.

Emiliano Alvarado Rescala shot one-over 73 to tie for fourth overall and lead the Hornets on the opening day. He shot even par 72 on Saturday to tie for second overall.

Nick Coseo shot a combined 158 (81-77), followed by Ethan Daugherty also at 158 (78-80) and Tyler Omness at 164 (80-84). 

Kalamazoo returns to action on Tuesday, Sept. 10, at an MIAA Jamboree hosted by Alma.
