Bob Kent, legendary coach, athletics administrator and professor at Kalamazoo College, has been selected for induction into the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Division III Hall of Fame in 2025.
Kent is one of eight coaches, two female athletes and nine male athletes selected for induction at the CSCAA Annual Awards Celebration on May 6, 2025, at the Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley in North Carolina. Kent is Kalamazoo College's second inductee into the CSCAA Division III Hall of Fame following Jeff Gorton's '00 induction in 2024.
According to the CSCAA release, Kent did it all at Kalamazoo - men's swim coach, AD, chair of the physical education department for 16 years, assistant football coach for 15 years (including one as the interim head coach), eight seasons as an assistant baseball coach and nine as the head golf coach. He coached Kalamazoo College's men's swimming and diving team from 1968-2003, serving as the schools Director of Men's Athletics for 16 of those years. The Western Michigan University graduate led Kalamazoo to 25 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association crowns and 13 top-10 finishes at NCAAs.
Coach Kent is already a member of several other Halls of Fame, including Kalamazoo College, Western Michigan University, Grand Haven High School and the Muskegon Area Sports Hall of Fame.
