Hornet Soccer Camps FAQ
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
How do I register for camp?
Registration options for all Hornet Men or Women’s soccer camps are available directly on the camp site. Payment can be made electronically via credit or debit card. Payment by check is also accepted with a Mail In application. There is a $50 fee associated with a returned check.
Is there a registration deadline?
We accept applications until the sessions are full. Camp will fill very quickly as the interest is quite high, so we suggest registering early.
What is the refund/cancellation policy?
All cancellations must be requested in writing or by email to the Camp director. Your deposit/payment is refundable up to three weeks before camp, minus an administration fee of 50% of the total cost of the camp. Because we hire staff and purchase equipment and supplies based on our anticipated enrollment, there are no refunds for cancellations within 14 days of the first day of camp. Refunds (less the admin fee) will be made for medical reasons only and must be accompanied by a signed medical statement on letterhead from your physician. There are no refunds for campers expelled for inappropriate behavior at camp. Please be mindful of this policy when registering for camp so that we can avoid all of the unnecessary problems that can arise.
If the camp is full, do you have a waiting list?
Yes, when the session fills, an online waiting list will become available. No deposit is necessary to be placed on the waiting list.
Do I have to pay in full or can I submit a deposit?
Payment for Little Hornets must be made in full at the time of registration. A 50% deposit can be made to secure your spot in all other camps. Full payment must be received 2 weeks prior to the first day of camp.
Will I receive a confirmation letter and a list of what to bring to camp?
If registering online, a confirmation letter will be sent immediately by email. If applying by mail, you should receive an email confirmation letter within 2 weeks. Please contact us if you have not received your email confirmation letter. A thorough checklist of items necessary for camp will accompany the email confirmation letter.
What should I bring to camp?
Every camper must bring their own soccer ball, shin guards, personal water bottle, sunscreen and any necessary medications. Full day campers are also advised to bring a swimsuit and snack if desired.
Is a physical required?
A physical is not required for camp. However, the application will not be processed without the medical consent and liability waiver. The form is included and is available as part of our registration form.
What other forms/medical forms do I need?
The medical consent and liability waiver must accompany the application in order for processing to occur. They are included within the online registration and on the backside of the paper application.
Can my child request a roommate?
Yes! Roommate requests and/or near requests are honored, however, they must be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to the start of camp. Roommate requests made within the two weeks prior to the start of camp will be honored if possible! Two campers per room. Single rooms may be requested if available and both campers must agree on the placement.
What about safety & supervision?
Campers are fully supervised by camp staff 24 hours per day, during all camp activities and while in rooms. Camp staff and trainers reside on each of the dormitory floors at night. In addition, the dorms are monitored by campus security and no visitors will be allowed in.
Are athletic trainers always available?
Fully certified athletic trainers are available 24 hours per day and on the fields during training sessions.
Does my child need to be at a certain level of soccer ability to attend camp?
No specific level of ability is required. We just ask that all campers bring the desire to learn and have fun, and we will help them reach the next level!
