Kalamazoo College sophomore Sarah Woods has been selected to compete in the 2014 NCAA III Women's Tennis Singles Championships scheduled for May 22-24 in Claremont, Calif. The field consists of 32 singles players from across the country.
A native of Oconomowoc, Wis., Woods posted a 19-4 overall record this season including 15-2 in dual meets at No. 1 singles. She was named Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association most valuable player for the second consecutive season, posting a 7-0 conference record while leading the Hornets to their first conference championship since 2007.
Woods, last year's Intercollegiate Tennis Association Rookie of the Year, competed at the 2013 NCAA III Championships in Kalamazoo where she advanced to the quarterfinal round to earn All-American honors.
