Softball drops pair of games at Franklin

FRANKLIN, Ind. - The Kalamazoo College softball team lost a pair of games at Franklin College on Saturday, 5-1 and 7-0.

Franklin scored all five of its runs in the fourth inning before Kalamazoo scored its run in the fifth. The host Grizzlies had seven hits while limiting Kalamazoo to four.

Andrea MacMichael, Nori Seita, Ashley Schiffer and Fiona Summers each had a hit in the opener.

In the second game Franklin scored five runs in the second inning while adding a run in the third and sixth. The Grizzlies had 12 hits while Kalamazoo was again held to four.

Erin DuRoss, Hayleigh Alamo, Briana Huisken and Nori Seita each had a hit in game two.

Kalamazoo returns to action Tuesday, March 7 with a home doubleheader against Manchester at 3 p.m.
