In a release from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Monday afternoon, Shaker and Grogan were named the league's swimmer of the week and diver of the week, respectively.
Individually on Saturday, Shaker won the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:59.62 and the 500 freestyle recording a time of 4:55.71. He also helped the Hornets' 200 freestyle relay take first place with a time of 1:27.47.
Grogan placed first in both the 1M dive and 3M dive, recording scores of 296.40 and 255.45, respectively.
This is the first time in Grogan's career he's earned MIAA Diver of the Week honors. Shaker receives the honor for the second time in his career, also earning Swimmer of the Week honors on Jan. 18, 2016.
