Men's Lacrosse defeated by MSOE

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's lacrosse team was defeated 13-4 on Saturday afternoon at MacKenzie Field by Milwaukee School of Engineering.

MSOE scored the opening two goals of the contest, but Brett Fitzgerald and Hans Wieland struck back to tie the game at two with five minutes remaining in the opening quarter. Two goals in the final two minutes of the quarter restored the MSOE lead heading into the second. In the second quarter Hans Weiland scored his second goal of the match for K, but the Hornets trailed 7-3 heading into halftime. 

Three unanswered goals by MSOE in the third put the game away, but Brandon Wright pulled one back for the Hornets in the fourth to make the final score 13-4.

Hans Wieland led K with two goals and two ground balls. Brett Fitzgerald chipped in a goal and an assist to go along with three ground balls.

Tim Grobosky made six saves and Nate Silverman made three in goal for K. 

The Hornets will play their road game of the season at Heidelberg on Saturday, March 10 at 1 p.m.
