Mark Ghafari among national statistical leaders

Kalamazoo College's Mark Ghafari ranks among the national leaders in several statistical categories, including 30th in the country (NCAA III) with 21.3 points per game according to the latest release (Dec. 16).

Ghafari also ranks 70th nationally in three-point shooting percentage (.412) and 86th in three-point field goals per game (2.63).

The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team opens Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play at Trine on Thursday, Jan. 3 at 7:30 p.m.

Among conference players, Ghafari currently ranks second in scoring with 21.0 points per game while leading the league in minutes played (32.55/game). He ranks second in three-point field goals per game (2.6), seventh in free throw percentage (.815), eighth in rebounds per game (5.6), eighth in field goal percentage (.507), eighth in steals per game (1.5), and ninth in three-point field goal percentage (.400).
