What is your favorite sports moment at K?
Getting the opportunity to play in the championship game for the MIAA.

What is your most memorable academic experience at K?
Getting all Bs my first quarter. I would call home crying after every exam because I was average.

Why did you choose to attend Kalamazoo College?
I wanted to attend an academically rigorous school with small class sizes. I was looking at K, but wasn't very interested until CBG (Coach Goyings) called and asked if I wanted to play soccer. Plus, it was close to home which is an added bonus.

Hanging out with my favorite people.

What is your least favorite thing about road trips during your season?
Having to do a ton of homework when we get back from the game.

Who is your all-time favorite athlete and why?
Jeff Bagwell because he was a three sport athlete in high school, but chose to pursue baseball. He was always my favorite player to watch live and on TV as a kid.

What is your favorite class and why?
My freshman seminar Creativity. It was an eye opening experience not only to the literal definition of creativity, but also to a liberal arts education where I am encouraged to take interesting classes that don't pertain to my major.

Who is your favorite professor and why?
Dr. Truss because she is down to earth and not afraid to tell you the truth. She is also very supportive and helpful in office hours.

Other than the sport you play, what other sports activity are you good at?
Long distance running. (I'm okay at all other sports.)

Chicken nuggets with mac and cheese.

What do you enjoy most about practice?
Being able to challenge everyone physically and mentally so we work together towards our individual and team goals. Also, being able to play soccer almost every day is awesome.

What do you like least about practice?
Always losing in small competitions between the players with even jersey numbers and those with odd jersey numbers. I get way too competitive.

What is the topic of your SIP?
Synthesis of a multifunctional hybrid drug as chemotherapeutic treatment for prostate cancer.

What are your plans/goals after graduation?
After graduation, I plan on taking a gap year before medical school to become a pediatrician or pediatric oncologist.
